NySkov is a sole trader business specialising in the design and creation of free-standing wooden furniture and other wooden items. All pieces are handcrafted and sold either ready-made or made-to-order (bespoke).

2. Sales Channels

We sell both online and in-person. These Terms and Conditions apply to all purchases made from NySkov, regardless of the sales channel used.

3. Products

  • Bespoke Items: Custom designs made to order based on customer specifications.
  • Ready-Made Items: Pre-made items available for immediate purchase.

4. Ordering Process

For Bespoke Work:

  1. Initial Consultation: Free of charge, to discuss design ideas and functionality.
  2. Estimate: A rough price estimate is provided based on the consultation.
  3. Design Phase: If the customer agrees to proceed, a final quote is prepared.
  4. Acceptance & Payment: Once the quote is accepted, a non-refundable payment is required to cover materials.
  5. Cancellation: Cancellation after the design phase but before production may incur a £50 cancellation fee.

Any requested alterations during production may affect the final price depending on progress and material requirements.

5. Prices and Payment

All prices are stated in GBP (£). We accept payment via:

  • PayPal
  • Bank Transfer

For bespoke work, a non-refundable material deposit is required. The final balance is due on completion, before delivery or collection.

6. Delivery

  • We deliver within the UK.
  • Shipping is handled via a third-party courier (to be confirmed).
  • Delivery is typically made within 7 days of dispatch.
  • Risk of loss or damage passes to the customer upon delivery.

7. Returns & Refunds

Ready-Made Items:

  • Return unused items within 30 days of receipt.
  • Items must be in original condition and packaging.
  • Refunds are issued upon inspection of the returned item.
  • Return shipping is the responsibility of the customer unless the item is faulty.

Bespoke Items:

  • Custom-made items are non-refundable, unless faulty.
  • This does not affect your statutory rights.

8. Care and Use

Care guides will be provided where necessary. Customers are responsible for following these instructions. Improper use or neglect may void any refund or liability.

9. Limitation of Liability

  • We are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages.
  • We are not responsible for delays due to events beyond our control.
  • We are not responsible for changes requested mid-build that result in material waste or increased costs.

10. Governing Law

These Terms and Conditions are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and any disputes shall be resolved in the English courts.

11. Intellectual Property – Designs

All designs, concepts, sketches, and final creative work produced by NySkov remain the intellectual property of NySkov.

  • Customers are granted a non-exclusive right to use the final product.
  • Designs may not be copied, reproduced, or used commercially without permission.
  • NySkov may showcase designs in marketing or portfolio materials unless the customer requests otherwise in writing.
